Bit of an abstract one from Sochi today. The amount of Lenin statues I’ve photographed over the past couple of weeks is ridiculous so I was pleased to come across one this morning that actually looks pretty cool. Hopefully off to the mountains tomorrow…

Came across this ‘Elections’ billboard in Rostov today. Russia will hold it’s parliamentary elections on December 4th and then the Presidential elections in March next year. Should be an interesting time to be in Russia…

Back on the travelling now after a few days rest ‘at home’ in Yaroslavl. Have spent today in Volgograd and flying to Rostov on Don tomorrow morning. Below is a picture of “The Motherland is Calling”, an 85 metre tall statue overlooking the city that was built to commemorate the battle of Stalingrad.
